Dubai Chocolate Bar Recipe: Luxurious Homemade Middle Eastern Treat


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate (for drizzle, optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup dried dates or figs, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey or date syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp rose water or orange blossom water (optional)
  • Edible gold flakes (for decoration, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the Chocolate – In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Prepare the Mixture – Stir in the honey (or date syrup), cardamom, cinnamon, and sea salt into the melted chocolate. Mix well to incorporate the flavors.
  3. Add the Nuts & Fruits – Fold in the chopped pistachios, almonds, and dried dates or figs. Stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Mold the Chocolate – Pour the chocolate mixture into a parchment-lined mold or baking dish. Smooth out the top with a spatula.
  5. Drizzle & Garnish – Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with edible gold flakes for an elegant touch.
  6. Set the Chocolate – Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully hardened.
  7. Cut & Serve – Once set, cut the chocolate into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for a firmer texture.
