Tini’s Mac and Cheese Recipe: Creamy, Cheesy & Easy to Make


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions:

Cook the Pasta – Boil the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce – In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden, forming a roux.

Add the Liquids – Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

Incorporate the Cheese – Gradually add the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Combine with Pasta – Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce, stirring until evenly coated.

Optional Baked Version – Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
