Dubai Chocolate Recipe: Luxurious Homemade Middle Eastern Treat

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp honey or date syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, or cashews)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruits (dates, figs, or raisins)
  • 1 tsp rose water or orange blossom water (optional)
  • Edible gold flakes (for decoration, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the Chocolate – In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Prepare the Mixture – In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat until warm but not boiling. Stir in honey (or date syrup), cardamom, cinnamon, and sea salt.
  3. Combine Ingredients – Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the melted chocolate, stirring continuously until well combined and glossy. Add rose water or orange blossom water if using.
  4. Fold in Nuts and Dried Fruits – Gently mix in the chopped nuts and dried fruits, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Mold the Chocolate – Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking dish or silicone molds for individual chocolates. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill and Set – Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
  7. Garnish and Serve – Sprinkle with edible gold flakes for an elegant touch, then cut into pieces or remove from molds. Serve and enjoy!
